Have you ever wondered how difficult the average teenage life can be? Imagine someone who concentrates on having good grades, doing well at work while maintaining an active social life.
Meet Gabriel Montano, a student attending St-Laurent Cegep since August 2011. After graduating high school and proudly receiving his diploma, Montano succesfully became a full time employee to boot! After three weeks of his full time job at l'Universel, a sit down restaurant down town, his hours were cut down in order for him to concentrate on his studies. He is currently studying in social sciences. As we all know, The Ministry of Education has very high expectations for students, the programs set for them are very demanding, including Montano's. He would also like to continue his studies to a University level!
Gabriel Montano does not have it easy at work either. As mentionned earlier, his job at l'Universel may sometimes add to the level of stress. Although he gets along well with his coworkers, the job may sometimes be frustrating. Working around different poeple is not always a walk in the park. In other words, dealing with someone unhappy maybe be hard since people don't always know how to calm themselves down.
As for the social life, Montano is circled by many friends that he wishes to keep contact with. "I have great friends, I have known some of them since kindergraden!" he explains. "They have always been there for me and that means alot!"
In the end, being 17 may appear simple to some, but think twice. It is very complicated to succeed like Gabriel Montano, who maintaines a perfect balance in his life.
